Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

This policy explains what Micro OTP collects, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run an account, take payments, and deliver SMS codes — nothing more.

1. What we collect

  • Account data — email address and password hash, or the identifier provided when you sign in with Google or Apple.
  • Order data — the service and country you choose, the rented number, the code received, timestamps, and the price charged.
  • Payment data — top-up amounts, currency, status, and processor references. Card and Mobile Money details are handled by our payment processors; we never see or store your full payment credentials.
  • Technical data — IP address, device/browser information, and preference choices (display currency, language) needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use it

  • To create and maintain your account and wallet.
  • To purchase numbers from upstream providers and deliver verification codes to you.
  • To process payments, detect fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms.
  • To respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Who we share it with

  • Number providers — upstream suppliers (for example SMS-Pool, TextVerified, FetchSMS) receive the order details needed to assign a number. They do not receive your account identity.
  • Payment processors — TchokoPay, Fapshi, Cryptomus, NOWPayments, and Bachs receive the payment details needed to complete your top-up.
  • Infrastructure — hosting and email providers that process data on our behalf.
  • Legal — authorities where we are legally required, or to protect against fraud and abuse.

4. Message content

Incoming SMS for your rented number is relayed to your order page so you can read your code. We store the received code alongside the order record. Do not request messages containing personal secrets you would not want stored — the number is shared infrastructure.

5. Retention

Account and order records are kept while your account is active and as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. You may request deletion (below); we then remove data we are not required to retain.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Email support@microotp.com to exercise them. Deleting your account data may require first spending or forfeiting any remaining balance.

7. Security

We use TLS in transit, hashed passwords, and least-privilege access to production systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; keep your credentials private and use a unique password.

8. Cookies

We use only the cookies required to run the service — see the Cookie Policy.

9. Children

The service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes and contact

Material changes are posted here with a new date. Privacy questions or requests: support@microotp.com.
